Goat Cheese and Sun-Dried Tomato Crostini is the easiest and best appetizer you can make. Simple yet flavorful ingredients can make the most beautiful food!
Do you like bread? Oh how I love bread. I don’t eat a ton of it, but when I do, I enjoy every last bite. Bread with butter? Bread with olive oil and parm? Bread with goat cheese, sun dried tomatoes, balsamic glaze, and basil? HECK YES.
This recipe for Goat Cheese and Sun Dried Tomato Crostini might be the easiest recipe I have on the blog, but one of my favorites. You know I love goat cheese and you know I love sun dried tomatoes, hence this salad recipe and this pasta recipe. I don’t think I have to mention this, but balsamic glaze might be the best thing ever. I could go on and on about each ingredient, I heart them all, but the true beauty of them? They go SO WELL together. The flavors were meant to be. Kind of like me and ice cream.
Seriously though…this stuff is easy. This is the perfect appetizer if you’re hosting a dinner party or having friends over. Open a bottle of red wine and everyone will love you…forever.
Heck, I had this for lunch the other day. No joke.
And it’s just so darn pretty. Please please please make this! I beg of you.

Ingredients
- Goat cheese
- Sun dried tomatoes, chopped
- Balsamic glaze (store-bought or you can make it)
- Fresh basil, chopped
- Italian or French bread, sliced
- Garlic powder
- Olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Place a cooling rack on top of a cookie sheet; set aside.
- Drizzle olive oil on bread and dust with garlic powder. Bake in oven for about 7 minutes or until toasted and crispy. Let cool slightly before adding goat cheese.
- Add goat cheese to a bowl and warm in microwave for 15 seconds, stir then spread goat on each piece of bread, top with sun dried tomatoes, drizzle of balsamic glaze, and fresh basil.
- To make balsamic glaze, pour ½ - 1 cup (depends on much you want to make) unto a sauce pan and place over medium heat. Bring to a simmer and turn to low and simmer until thickened. Watch carefully so it doesn't burn!
Notes
I did not provide amount of ingredients as it depends on how much you want to make. You can use as little or as much of each ingredients as you would like. I prefer a lot of everything. Also, refer to the recipe links in this blog post on how to make balsamic glaze.

I would make them pretty close to when you’re going to eat them. The goat cheese will make the bread soggy if on there too long!

I’m so excited to make this! Yum! I can’t find the link to the Balsamic glaze though? Am I missing something.

It’s SO good! You can purchase balsamic glaze at your grocery store where they sell balsamic vinegar or you could make it yourself by pouring 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar into a sauce pan and simmering it over medium-low heat until nice and thickened – just watch it carefully so it doesn’t burn!

Hi Nadia – it all depends on how much you want to make. For these types of recipes, eye balling is the best way to go – there really isn’t a need to measure. It also depends on your taste preference – I love a ton of goat cheese while other may want just a light slather. Hope this helps!

What kind of bread did you use. Also did you put back in oven after adding sun dried tomatoes etc. Were sundried tomatoes in oil or dry package

Hi! I used Italian bread, no I didn’t put them back in the oven after I topped them and I used sundried tomatoes in oil. Enjoy!
